ASHEVILLE CAFE & SKYBAR. While World Coffee Cafe was established in 2006 by Russell Thomas and his partners. Both are also co-owners of the historic Asheville Flatiron Building which was converted into a commercial condominium and association. World Coffee Cafe was modeled after the international cultural history of Asheville that spans Native American – Cherokee, Spanish, Scotch-Irish, Anglo-Saxon, African-American, Caribbean-American, Russian, Central European, Asian, Middle Eastern and other groups that comprise today’s Western North Carolina’s diverse ethnic make-up. The walls are adorned with statues, ornamentations and cultural artifacts from around the world.
We offer a complete coffee and espresso beverages and feature local herbal teas made from a wide variety of Southern Appalachian medicinal plants made my Mother Mountain Herbals.
World Coffee Cafe also serves hand made bagels, locks, pastries, desserts, personal pizza’s, homemade salsa with chips and home home hummus with gluten free crackers, a local charcuterie plate, soups and other featured quick lunches and cocktail appetizers.
World Coffee Cafe hosts three full bars, two pianos, four balconies of western views, quiet rooms, couch lounge, conference room, street seating patio and a grand marble lobby. Live music is occasionally featured at our outdoor World Coffee After Dark street and Green Room stages. Upstairs at World Coffee Cafe’s SkyBAR other guest musicians may dj chill lounge music and/or small jazz ensembles are invited to guest perform.
